PREP – Before You Brew
- Read through your recipe kit/instructions
- Gather all equipment:
- Brew kettle (5+ gallons)
- Fermenter with lid & airlock
- Stir spoon
- Thermometer
- Hydrometer (optional)
- Auto-siphon and tubing
- Bottling bucket (optional for now)
- Bottles & caps (for later)
- Sanitize everything that will touch the wort post-boil
- Have sanitizer solution ready in a spray bottle or bucket
- Fill pot with water (as recipe instructs)
